This supports evidence that many people already suspected with the success of the Atkin&#8217;s and South Beach diets, which are based on this principle. The reason, according to a weight loss review, was that ketosis was the primary factor that these diets were based on.</p>
<p>In effect, carbohydrates are restricted to less than 40 g a day, which forces the body to release ketones; this signals your body to start burning fat. Because carbohydrates are converted to sugar and stored as fat when metabolized, if they are limited, what you eat won&#8217;t go to fat stores and you&#8217;ll burn off the fat stores you have. This is why this diet is so effective, according to the weight loss review.</p>
<p>When eating normally, your metabolism first will burn calories from the food you consume and then store the rest of the carbs or sugars as fat stores for later use. Since the body&#8217;s preferred fuel is sugars, a high protein, low carb diet forces the body to use what it has and not replenish it from the food you eat.</p>
<p>According to a weight loss review, this was actually found to be a very important to weight loss success. Consider, for example, that most adults eat about 300 g of carbohydrates a day, and when you&#8217;re not on a diet, this means that a lot of excess can be stored as fat stores that may never be touched.</p>

It&#8217;s fairly easy to start this type of diet on your own come if you carefully read labels for carbohydrates. With this type of diet, you can eat anything you want within the guidelines as long as ketosis begins and remains. Ketosis can be implemented and sustained by eating less than 40 g of carbohydrates per day, according to weight loss reviews.</p>

<p>Question&#8230;what is the common denominator in virtually all of the physical ailments we normally encounter? Answer&#8230;diet and exercise are part of either the treatment or among the preventive measures. Plus, LACK of proper diet and exercise are almost always &#8211; in some way &#8211; associated with the cause. Let&#8217;s face it, exercise is not only good for you, it&#8217;s vital and you NEED a weight loss workout plan. We all do.</p>
<p>Good news, exercising and dieting doesn&#8217;t have to be difficult. Here is the simplest weight loss workout plan you can do, yet is is extremely effective and beneficial. It also doesn&#8217;t hurt that it&#8217;s fun, a great stress reducer and easy to do.</p>
<p>Turn off the TV, and go for a walk.  True, that may seem too easy, but if you&#8217;re just getting started in your weight loss workout plan, it&#8217;s the best exercise available.  Anyone can do it anytime, anyplace. </p>
<p>There simply isn&#8217;t any reason to avoid going for a walk.  As an exercise, it is scalable.  You can start off easy and work up to longer and longer times or distances.  Ideally you want to walk at least 30 minutes per day even if you don&#8217;t want to lose weight. Bad weather?  Bundle up and get out there.  If you must, you can stay inside and just walk around the house.  It&#8217;s better than not doing it at all.</p>
<p>No matter how old you are, if you can walk, you can safely work out.  Walking is good as a weight loss workout plan because of its low impact. Jogging can create soreness and joint problems and is not recommended unless you are in terrific shape.</p>
<p>If you can handle them, running and other vigorous exercises are good for you.  But studies have shown that walking is every bit as good.  You just have to do it longer. For general conditioning and a nice way to relieve the daily stresses, 30 minutes a day is good.  If you are walking as a weight loss workout plan, you should go for 60 minutes.  In this case, more is better.  Plus &#8211; walking too much isn&#8217;t going to hurt you.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re considering any formalized weight loss workout plan, I would highly recommend a program that motivates you to walk frequently. Most of the better programs are starting to realize the benefits of walking for exercise. </p>
<p>In addition to improving your health, there are many social benefits too! Virtually every community offers hiking and walking clubs and it can be a good way to make new friends and form new relationships.</p>
<p>Considering all the benefits&#8230;with almost no drawbacks, you clearly can&#8217;t go wrong with walking as a weight loss workout plan. The fact that it takes some time is walkings only drawback.  However, when you consider the value of your health it&#8217;s time well spent don&#8217;t you think?</p>

<p>Establishing a routine with exercise is more difficult for most people than just about anything else they do. In actuality, it&#8217;s not that hard once you&#8217;ve been doing it for a little while. Most people that struggle with finding time for exercise are doing so because they are trying to &#8220;fit in&#8221; exercise, depending on the events for the day. Establishing a routine with exercise involves planning it into your schedule, developing workouts ahead of time, and mixing things up. </p>
<p>In order to be effective with your exercise program, you&#8217;ll need to schedule appropriately. This means that you&#8217;ll be more likely to succeed with your health and fitness goals if you schedule a specific time of the day to exercise for an entire month. The time of day does not have to be the same each day (although this is recommended), but it does have to be pre-scheduled, just as you would a doctor&#8217;s appointment.</p>
<p>Establishing an exercise routine also involves developing workouts ahead of time. My most successful clients all plan their workout routines for a week at a time, instead of day by day. The advantage of this, of course, is that you will choose a larger variety of exercise, stimulate new areas for strengthening each week, and have a targeted plan to reach all areas of your body. When you consider it, exercise selection today should affect tomorrow&#8217;s workout anyway, right?</p>
<p>Knowing when to repeat exercise with a muscle group can be a difficult decision, although this is another topic in itself. Traditionally, most fitness professionals would recommend you rest at least two days before repeating a muscle group when exercising for pure strength. On the other hand, exercising for endurance may allow you to repeat exercises and muscle groups more frequently. </p>
<p>Finally, in order to manage your time effectively with exercise, you&#8217;ll need to consider having a variety of exercises in your routine. The typical exercise program repeats once or twice a week, indefinitely. This allows your body to acclimate to the exercise demands placed upon it, thereby decreasing your results over time and leading to plateau. By selecting a larger variety of exercise, as can be done with proper workout development skills, you will be constantly stimulating your body to react to new demands, and thereby increasing fat loss and fitness results. For this reason, marathon runners are able to look relaxed while running at insane speeds. After awhile, the human body accommodates this &#8216;abnormal&#8217; demand, and learns to burn fewer calories and conserve more energy. The same thing is true with your exercise program. Be careful not to make this mistake.</p>

When cholesterol is elevated, the HDL cholesterol has been proven to decrease the LDL cholesterol that is bad and help you prevent the problems that come with having a high cholesterol number.</p>
<p>The occurrence of heart disease is more of a probability in people with high levels of LDL cholesterol. HDL cholesterol is needed in the body in order to send the unwanted cholesterol that is moved to the arteries by LDL cholesterol directly to the liver. However, if the HDL cholesterol levels are not high enough, it will cause the bad cholesterol to accumulate in the arteries, leading to hardened arteries or ultimately obstructing them. <p>I hate exercise. Or at least I did, until I decided to become more efficient about losing weight. If I ever gain weight I try to lose it by being as efficient as I can. Optimizing my methods of weight loss may let me lose the same weight in two months instead of three, so why not?</p>
<p>Back in the day when I first decided I really needed to lose weight I began with walking for 30 minutes. I tried to do it everyday but I would always end up skipping some days or cutting my walks short. After a while of this I was becoming annoyed at my lack of progress and wanted to quit. </p>
<p>Instead of quitting I decided to look up how many calories different exercises and sports could burn per hour. I realized that walking, while easy, was not a very fast way to lose weight.</p>
<p>Walking is a fairly easy way to lose weight, and this is exactly the problem. Since you are not moving your body in a very intense way the calorie burn is much lower than pretty much any other exercise.</p>
<p>I already knew that a pound of fat had 3500 calories, so when I found out that walking for a full hour might only burn as little as 140 calories, I was very upset. No wonder I was losing weight so slow, this was a huge wake up call that I needed to change how I was doing things.</p>
<p>Different sports and exercises can burn up to 1500 calories per hour. Some you may want to consider are swimming, ice skating, cross country skiing, playing squash, running, or even jumping rope. These activities would all have to be done at a high intensity for an hour to burn the most calories.</p>
<p>It is important to keep in mind that to reach these levels of calorie burn you will have to be doing that activity with a high level of intensity, and most people are not in good enough shape to just jump on a bike and pedal for a whole hour at a high speed. The listed calorie numbers are really in an ideal workout at max intensity. You need to keep your own limits in mind if you are going to try a higher intensity activity. Pick a sport or exercise and start very easy, at a slow speed or intensity level and for shorter periods of time, at least until your body can handle doing a full hour or half hour. You should always consult your doctor before you begin any exercise plan, especially if you are not sure what your body can handle.</p>
<p>I decided to try swimming since I always liked swimming when I was a kid, at first I was terrible and couldn&#8217;t swim for more than 5 minutes without taking a break, but sure enough over time that 5 minutes became 10 then 15 and so on. I have so much more fun swimming than I used to just walking and the weight loss has been amazing.</p>

<p>If you are looking for a miracle fruit that offers optimum health, beautiful skin and radiant hair, you might have to search a bit farther than the produce department. How about the Brazilian rainforest? Not a big fan of jungle critters? No worries, this super fruit called Acai berries is now available on this side of the equator.</p>
<p>Acai (pronounced Ah-SIGH-ee) berries have become quite popular in the past few years, but the people of the Brazilian rainforest have long revered this gorgeous purple fruit that grows on a palm tree. </p>
<p>There is a story told about the discovery of the acai berry. An Amazon Indian girl was the daughter of the tribal chief. The tribe had grown so large that they did not have enough food, and the chief was forced to create a rule that made it necessary to kill any newborn babies. He was unable to spare even his grandchild when his daughter, Iaca, gave birth. </p>
<p>Iaca desperately mourned her child. One night, she thought she heard the cries of her baby. She ran in the rainforest to where she thought she heard the cries, but she only found a new palm tree. She lay under the tree and died from a broken heart. </p>
<p>When the tribe found her, they also found the berries. The berries were so nutritious and plentiful, that the tribe never had to worry about food again. The chief banned the law and all newborns were now safe. He named the berries Acai after his daughter (acai is Iaca spelled backward).</p>
<p>Clever story, but the truth behind acai berries is just now being realized. Scientists are finding that acai berries just might be the most potent fruit available because they contain super antioxidants, essential amino acids and omega 3 fatty acids.</p>
<p>Antioxidants are all capable of fighting cancer by fighting free radicals that damage cells and are the prelude to cancer and the aging process. The super antioxidant in acai berries that gives the berries their royal purple color is called anthocyanin. This super antioxidant has been found to slow and stop the growth of tumors. Antioxidants are also necessary for repairing damaged cells and replenishing tissue.</p>
<p>Damage from free radicals is thought to be the source of aging, so acai berries are also good for preventing premature aging.</p>
<p>Animal protein contains a complete balance of essential amino acids, but plants do not. Acai berries, however, contain a nearly complete blend of essential amino acids making them a potent protein source without the saturated fat contained in animal protein.</p>
<p>Acai berries do not contain saturated fat, but they do contain the good fat, omega 3 fatty acids which can lower LDL (bad cholesterol)and raise HDL (good cholesterol) making them excellent (just like fish) in preventing cardiovascular disease.</p>
<p>Acai berries are able to improve your health, prevent disease and slow the aging process. Available in a number of ways, acai products can truly benefit your overall health and restore a more youthful appearance.</p>
<p>Make sure you do not fall prey to acai juice that is mostly corn syrup and chemicals.</p>
